Premiered February 2017
Based on John Greenleaf Whittier's poem The Palatine, encounter the two stories based on a shipwreck in 1738. One side is the passengers, the other is the villagers. Who is telling the truth, and who is lying?
Fill The (W)hole tells the two stories of the Palatine in a site-specific performance at one of Winnipeg's cultural landmarks, The Forks. Being inspired by the river and the bitter cold, this project came to fruition with the help of One Trunk Theatre's the Dollhouse of Commons, a 20 square feet space that was to be home to free concerts, photography shoots, live performance and visual art installations. An excerpt was also recently performed at a fundraiser for the local theatre company, Happy/Accidents.
