FILL THE (W)HOLE THEATRE COMPANY
Fill The (W)hole is a Winnipeg-based collective founded by Lindsay Johnson, Rayna Masterton and Brigitte Plouffe in 2015 with a common goal of promoting human understanding through theatre. They are a collective who produce multidisciplinary theatre aimed at raising up women’s voices and sharing their stories. FT(W) collaborate with a range of artists and community members to showcase authentic and honest narratives.
Brigitte is a performer, writer, producer and co-founder of Fill The (W)hole Theatre Company. Specializing in devised work, Brigitte has helped create projects for Fill The (W)hole (The Time In-Between, The Palatine and The Writing on the Stall) as well as One Trunk Theatre (Canada Games). She directed her first show, Her Wings (Buried Seeds Productions) for the Winnipeg Fringe Festival 2018 and is eager to delve more into the world of directing. Most recently, she completed her second year in the Creator’s Unit at MTYP where she and FT(W) wrote “Bad Doggies”. She also just adopted a big puppy, Sam, and can talk about him for hours on end.
Lindsay Johnson is a Winnipeg-based actor, director, writer, and animal-lover. With a love for both devised and classical theatre, Lindsay has found herself wearing a few different hats in the theatre world. Lindsay has worked as a Director/Assistant Director on several projects including Little Dead Lady (Naked Theatre Productions), Home 2.0. (Sarasvati Productions) Richard III (Shakespeare in the Ruins), and Vinegar Tom (University of Winnipeg). Some of acting credits include Palm House (+friendsprojects), Channel Zero: Dream Door and No End House (Universal Cable Productions), A Christmas Carol (Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre), Passion (Red Hen Collective), Shattered (Sarasvati Productions), The Time In-Between, The Palatine, The Writing on the Stall (Fill The (W)hole Theatre), Quickies with Chekhov (This Reality Theatre Co.). Currently, Lindsay is cooking up a few new projects with pals in the theatre and film world, including a short film about strangers and a play about doggos, and is excited to be working with Sarasvati Productions on this fabulous new Launchpad Project!
Rayna is a performer, creator/collaborator, mover, sometimes director and co-founder of Fill The (W)hole Theatre Co. She’s trained at the University of Winnipeg’s acting program and Humber College’s physical theatre and devised program in Toronto. Her stage credits include Prairie Nurse (Praire Theatre Exchange), Stage Frights - Mabel’s Curtain Call (One Trunk Theatre), Humanifesto (Humber College) The Power of Yes, The Cassilis Engagement (UofW), The Writing On The Stall, and The Time In Between (FTW/Fringe). Recently, she's travelled to Banff to train in Body Weather, completed her second year with MTYP's Creator's Unit, and wrote a show about bad doggies. When not working in theatre, Rayna is DEFINITELY chasing after her cats, making sure her plants don’t die, and fiddling around with her film camera.
